Trip Overview
Linkage Tours and Travels crew will embark on a pilgrimage with you to the holy land of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar for eleven days, star=ng from Kathmandu.
The tour starts off when we cross the borders to Tibet, exploring and making our way to the Holy Mount Kailash. We explore the Holy Mount Kailash and the sacred surroundings. Some major sites we visit during this tour are Mount Kailash, Lake Mansarovar, Rakshasa Taal, and more.

I&nerary
Day 01: Pokhara to Syabrubesi
We're going to drive to Syabrubesi in the morning. The seQlement of Syabrubesi is located in Langtang, in Kathmandu's northern area. We arrive in Syabrubesi aRer a 6–7-hour drive through the Pasang Lhamu Highway. Spend the night at a guest house.

Distance: 218km – 7 hours
Day 02: Syabrubesi to Kerung
Following breakfast, we will set out for the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border or the friendship bridge at the Nepal-Tibet border. In about four hours, we will reach Kerung (also known as Gyirung), the first village in Tibet. Rest at the guesthouse.

Distance: 120 km – 4 hours
Day 03: Kerung to Saga
The route takes us smoothly to the seQlement of Saga by ascending and descending the passes of Thong La and La Lung. We will be able to witness Lake Peikutso and the Tibetans' customary method of yak and sheep grazing along the way. Hotel overnight stay.

Day 04: Acclima&za&on at Saga
We spend the day at the Saga County, to acclima=ze to the al=tude. There are op=ons to go on short hikes and roam around the Saga throughout the day. Overnight at hotel in Saga.

Day 05: Saga to Mansarovar via Paryang
ARer our breakfast at Saga, we will be driving to the highest fresh water lake in the world, the holy Mansarovar Lake, lying at an al=tude of 4558 meters, stretching wide with a pris=ne greenish-blue color. The holy lake is believed to be the res=ng place of Lord Bishnu. It is surrounded by Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandata, and the Lake Rakshasha (Rakshash Taal). The Rakshash Taal is believed to be created by the Evil King Ravan, and the locals believe the water is poisonous. Overnight at guest house around Lake Mansarovar.

Day 06: Mansarovar Explora&on – drive to Darchen
We will get into our spiritual selves, and perform some rituals (puja) at the bank of the holy lake mansarovar. Our staffs will provide a bucket of hot holy water for each yatri from the lake Mansarovar for bathing. ARer our puja and prayers, we will complete the Parikrama of the Mansarovar Lake on a Jeep, and con=nue to the base camp of Kailash, Darchen. It is a village town right in front of the sacred Mt. Kailash. Overnight at hotel.

Distance: 110km – 2 hours (Mansarovar Parikrama)
40km – 1 hour (Mansarovar to Darchen)
Day 07: Darchen - Yamadwar - Drirapuk (Kora starts)
We will embark on a three – day parikrama. We first drive to the small seQlement of Tarboche, also called as Darboche. It is the star=ng point of the Kailash Kora, and is also known as the Valley of Gods. Yamadwar, the gatewat of the God of Death, is located here in Tarboche. We will walk for a few hours to arrive at the seQlement of Derapuk, seQling right in front of the North Face of Mt. Kailash. Overnight and rest at a guest house.

Distance: 13km – 0.5 hours (Darchen to Tarboche Valley)
7km – 5 hours (Tarboche to Drirapuk)
Day 08: Dirapuk to Juthulpuk (Drolma La Pass)
Among the three days of Kora, today is the longest and the most difficult day. We will be heading towards the village of Jarok Donkhang first, and hike towards the Shiva-stal. We will rest for some =me, and take a steep downhill and get to the banks of Lham-chu Khir river. We catch sight of the Holy Pond of ‘Gaurikunda’. We reach the village of Juthulpuk, this place is named aRer. The famous cave of Juthulpuk, Zruthulpuk cave, also known as ‘the miracle cave’. We will also catch sight of the Buddha’s Footprints along the way. Overnight at a guest house.

Distance: 19km – 8/9 hours (Dirapuk to Juthulpuk)
Day 09: Juthulpuk to Saga (Kora Ends)
We will spend the morning touring the nearby Milarepa cave's caves and temples. ARer breakfast, we will climb for three to four hours to finish our Kora and return to the Darchen seQlement. We'll eat there for lunch before heading back to Saga. Hotel overnight stay.

Distance: 290km – 8 hours
Day 10: Saga to Kerung
We will take a nice ride on paved Tibetan roads back to the seQlement of Kerung, which is at the border between Nepal and Tibet. Today is our day off, so we may relax and spend the night at a guesthouse in Kerung.

Day 11: Kerung to Pokhara
ARer comple=ng the immigra=on procedures at the Nepal-Tibet border, we will drive back to Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu. ARernoon souvenir shopping and overnight at the hotel.

The Kailash Yatra is conducted under Chinese Authori=es and Foreign Exchange Center Tibetan Autonomous Region (FEC TAR), hence, Linkage Travels will not be liable to any last minute changes, any unforeseen circumstances, and emergency circumstances and evacua=ons, flight delays, extra nights to be stayed, natural disasters, al=tude sickness and rescue. Any extra costs incurred shall be borne by the clients themselves.
