Ghachowk(Thuche) Village is place of origin for Machapuchare Model Trek. A group of only 20 families have begun homestays in 2018 with the help of Karitas.
The houses in Ghachowk are fairly widespread and houses in the other villages are spread out between narrow streets or rice terraces. This is the place which you willlove to explor the surrounding.
You can take a bus from Ghachowk in Hari Chowk which is the beginning point for many bus services in the local area. It will take about an hour and a half using either jeep or bus. It is possible to take jeeps at Milan Chowk, too.
Hari Chowk and Milan Chowk are located on the Pokhara-Baglung highway. There you can find local buses that can take you to other villages, such as Hemja, Baglung, Gandruk, Nayapul, Lwang, Ghalel and Dhital.
We suggest you to have atleast of 1 night and 2 Days trek of the Lwang-Ghalel. If you'd prefer to go to Lwang immediately there are buses that go departing from Hari and Milan Chowk to Lwang.
However, they are always packed with people from the village since there are only two buses per day. Similarly, you can also find many buses that go to Koramuk in Hari and Milan Chowk. It's a 1.5 hours walk from Lwang to Koramuk.
If you stayed overnight prior to arriving in Ghachowk and need to go down for around 40 minutes via bus and walk for three minutes to Lwang. There are a few stops at which you can have an ice cream or snack at a shop.
Lwang is the main destination for Mardi Himal. It is possible to walk through the village or go to Lwang's Tea Garden at 1600 meters high. It's about 30-40 minutes of walking. The view of the villages and Pokhara's downtown Pokhara at the end of the park is wonderful.
You must have a trekking permit to go to Lwang. Similarly, there are only 12 families that is operating the homestay service in Lwang. The village has been operating the homestay for quite a while and is equipped with a decent bathroom facilities and toilets.
After your time in Lwang, you can continue your journey towards Ghalel. It will take about two hours. It is possible to see the stunning Himals along with rice terraces along the way, making it an enjoyable stroll.
Ghalek has a homestay operation and has small shops. However, if you choose to go to Lumle in the evening, it's about one hour, and you can travel by jeep for Milan Chowk from Lumle.

Our representative from Linkage Nepal will be waiting for you at the airport. S/he will pick you up from there and drop off at your hotel. In the evening, you can go on a walk around the city.
After breakfast, we will leave for Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful city with lakes, views of landscape and mountains. After reaching Pokhara, we will again drive for about an hour and reach Lwang Ghalel village. From the village, the view of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountain is closer and clearer than Pokhara. We will interact with local people to know about their culture and tradition. The people here are very friendly and welcoming hence, we will receive a warm welcome from them.
Today, we will wake early in the morning and reach the viewpoint to watch the sunrise over the Himalayan range. We will visit the local tea garden in Lwang Ghalel village and enjoy the canoeing site. We can wear traditional dresses of the village and become one of them. We will enjoy songs and dance at night and rest for one more night there.
After an amazing experience, we will receive a farewell from the locals and we will leave for the capital, Kathmandu. On our ride we will go through Pokhara which offers some scenic views of the valleys and mountains.
