Manakamana Tour is an unique charm and significance among the Hindus. It is believed that the temple may be inhabited by the Hindu goddess Bhagwati the goddess of Parvati.
"Manakamana" which in Nepalese word that means the thing which the heart wants or the desire of heart, there is a belief that Goddess Bhagwati who dwells at the Manakamana temple, fulfills the desires of everyone who makes the trek to the place to pray to her.
Manakamana Temple lies at the top of the hill, 12 km to the south of historical Gorkha Palace. It is located at the top of the massive ridge, which is 1300 metres from sea level. The temple is located approximately 140 km to the west of capital Kathmandu situated between Pokhara and Kathmandu within Kathmandu on the Prithvi Highway.
It takes about 3-4 hours to driving to get to Kurintar which is 100km from the capital. The visitors may choose to hike or take to use the cable car.
You can also book the tickets of Cable car via online as you might face a huge crowd of pligrims visiting Manakamana and it might consume your time standing in a queue to get a ticket. Similarly, the cable car starts at the 8 am morning till 5 pm evening. However, it doesn’t operates for an hour from 12 noon to 1 pm, the time separated as a lunch break for the cable car service.
However, in the past, people were required to walk for three hours or more to reach the temple, but these days, it is a breeze for those who use cables to get the top to see this temple from Kurintar. Cable car services travel across 2.8 kilometers and is less than twelve minutes to get to the temple. Manakamana Darshan also has other attractions to offer its visitors.
Visitors to this temple will be able to see the magnificent Mount Annapurna and Ganesh Himal and the magnificent valleys of the rivers of Marsyangdi and Trisuli stunning perspectives of deep valleys and greenery and terraced fields. Due to these features, the temple is not just famous in the eyes of Hindus but also among foreign tourists who come to Nepal for holidays.

To begin our journey, we will drive from Kathmandu to Kurintar. The journey takes about three and half hours and after that we take cable car to Manakamana temple. Cable car located in Manakamana is the first cable car in Nepal. We will worship goddess Manakamana is a Hindu goddess which is believed to fulfill all the wants and desire of the people. After spending a night in Manakamana area, we will take a return cable car to Kurintar and drive to Gorkha. The birthplace of great king Prithivi Narayan Shah who started the unification of Nepal. We can also visit gorkha museum which was the palace of the king (optional).
We will then return from Gorkha and drive to Kathmandu. We can enjoy beautiful landscapes and road built alongside river on the way.
