We start our journey from Kathmandu and drive or take a flight to Pokhara. The flight will last about 30 minutes where the drive will last about 7 hours. After drive or flight, we will reach Pokhara which is also known as city of lakes.
After a night in Pokhara, we will take a flight to Jomson and from there we will trek to Kagbeni. We will follow the trail along the river which leads to Kagbeni. This village is unique for its Tibetan culture and warm hospitality.
We will leave Kagbeni and trek towards Muktinath temple. We will take a steep climb from Jhong Khola valley. After that we will join direct route to Muktinath. The trail continues above the river of the village of Jharkot. Muktinath is a holy site for Buddhist and Hindus. It is worshipped as the incarnation of Buddha by Buddhist people and as Lord Bishnu by Hindu people.
After exploring Muktinath, we will then trek to Marpa. It is famous for its apple orchards. We can enjoy different apple products like candies, pie, brandy and more in Marpa.
We will pass through the village of Chokhopani and enjoy panoramic view of mountains like Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Annapurna and Nilgiri. We have to cross a river to reach Kalopani then we descend again and cross another bridge to reach Ghasa.
After leaving Ghasa, we will start to see sub-tropical vegetations like banyan trees and poinsettias. We will follow a river along a narrow ridge till we reach a bridge. On our journey, we will cross several villages. The main attraction of Tatopani is the natural hot spring.
We will then leave for Ghorepani. The trail is beautiful with traditional villages, terraced fields and lust farmlands. We will go through rhododendron (laliguras) and magnolia forest and after some time we reach Ghorepani which is a beautiful point with mountains glistening in the sunset.
Before sunrise we will hike to Poon hill, which is around 45 minutes hike from Ghorepani. After reaching there before the sunrise, we will be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise in the Himalayas. We will be able to witness mountains turning from pink to gold during the sunrise. After the sunrise, we will return back to Ghorepani and spend one more night there.
After a beautiful day, we will trek to Nayapul. We will walk past the terraced fields to reach Nayapul and from there we will drive to Pokhara and end our journey.
